Sri Lankan Attorney-at-Law cum Solicitor Jana Dhanabalasingam has been ranked among top lawyers in Britain and among world’s top 4% of lawyers.

He has featured in the Chambers and Partners Guide 2022.

In Britain the Lawyers are divided into two categories the Barristers and the Solicitors. Barristers appear in all courts in Britain as defenders or prosecutors but the Solicitors are not allowed to appear in High Courts and mainly work from their offices without going to court. Sri Lankan Solicitors in UK work in preparing asylum seekers, advising businesses people about taxes , and helping people to apply for work permits . So, it is shocking to read how this Sri Lankan Solicitor in UK could have become a famous Lawyer. It does not make any sense .

Companies who are involved in ranking practitioners in different professions are themselves private companies struggling to survive in competing with their rival companies . There is no one to regulate these private companies and their motive is publish as more names as possible in order to become famous themselves. If you check the names of many Lawyers whose names appearing in the lists of these private ranking companies, it would shock anyone to realise that they have included hundreds of Lawyers who operate only from “offices” and never been courts.

You both should find a way to shine or do your job better and honest to become like Jena Danabalasingham. People know the difference between solicitor and barrister. You don't need to explain. News clearly says Jena Danabalasingham is ranked within top 4% of the world best lawyers, not within UK only. you Jeya and Lawyer, both are suitable to celebrate the ratings of celebrities, politicians. You two are not even qualified to comment about people who shows their true talent in foreign countries and keep our country name around the world. What a shame to make a comment like this. I was in Singapore recently where I visited S.Rajaratnam School of International Studies...which is part of the National University of Singapore. S.Rajaratnam is one of the founding father of Singapore who worked along with the former Singapore Prime Minister in building the nation. He was also a Deputy Prime Minister for some time. It is an undeniable fact that none of the Sinhalese Prime Ministers and Presidents so far demonstrated the right level of patriotism, dedication and statesmanship. It is a curse for the country.

Jews can direct the company to tell me simply they don't need anbody anymore. In the past, I applied a job for a company in union. I was eligible for a job because my name was on top of list. But what is trick jews played to stop me getting the job, they hired other poeple secretly without going by union list. Some Solicitors make good money but none of them can be famous as they work like accountants from their private offices and most importantly they are not allowed to appear in any higher court in England. I am a Sri Lankan living in the UK for over two decades. A Sinhalese indeed. I am extremely happy to see that our youngsters are doing well. Both of them are Tamils and it doesn't make me sad or jealous. Unfortunately, the majority of Tamil have started to bash them on this forum. I NOTED THAT A SINHEALESE QC ALSO GONE TO THE DIRTIEST OF DIRTY LEVELS TO BASH these lawyers rather than extending a helping hand IF THEY NEED. . In the UK Solicitors can appear in the higher courts as long as they obtain higher audience rights. Interestingly, solicitors can represent their clients in any court. The QC with the lorry load of practice in England has failed to spot the report to differentiate between representation and appearance Perhaps a mistake by a legal novice not by a QC. This firm is managed and co-owned by both Sinhalese and Tamils. ( with two senior Sinhalese Solicitors from down south and from Colombo.)So this belongs to Srilankans.
