Some TNA, SJB, SLFP MPs to vote for Ranil

A section of TNA, SJB and SLFP MPs will vote in favour of Acting President Ranil’ Wickremesinghe tomorrow, MP Harin Fernando told Dailymirror a short while ago.

Fernando said he was confident that Wickremesinghe will win the Parliament vote for presidency tomorrow as he had the numbers.

"It is a secret vote and we have assurance from several SJB, TNA and SLFP MPs that they will vote for Ranil Wickremesinghe despite their parties deciding to vote for Dullas Allahapperuma," Fernando said. (Yohan Perera)

Winning numbers at any cost is not how we need candidates to win. Ask RW to share short medium long term strategic action plan for the country on export development Fiscal policy investment attraction tourism middle east labour etc so that its an action plan that gets support rather than an individual.

Even if whole parliament votes for Ranil he has badly lost his Mr Clean image. And citizens are aware of many convicted and suspected crooks who has a vote. To prevent a hostile situation which us not goid for the country Ranil need to increase his communication to Sri Lankan citizens via local media talk shows etc. today face time for his opponents is 10 times more than what we hear about his plans for the country.
