Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today sought Sri Lanka's support for sustainable, safe and voluntary repatriation of the forcibly displaced Myanmar nationals, Rohingyas, to their ancestral land in Rakhine state of Myanmar.

Ali Sabry called for shipping and air connectivity between the two countries to boost trade relations and enhance people-to-people contacts.

He also underscored that Sri Lankans are interested in investing in Bangladesh and invited investment from Bangladesh.

When either by invasion or coercion a race of people or a community is converted to another religion, the converted loose their identities and forever become essentially slaves to their master. Islam started in the desert of Saudi Arabia but quickly spread to North Africa, parts of Europe and South Asia and with outlier being Iran, in all other countries the people are even prepared to die for the Arabs, their masters but not for other Muslims. The poor Rohingyas are also Muslims but no other Muslims give a damn about them. But had they been Arabs all other Muslims from far afield like North Africa to Balkan countries would have come in fanatical waves and even fought with the Myanmar army and died for the Rohingyas in South Asia. The same goes for our coverts too in Sri Lanka both the Catholics and the Protestants, culturally castrated by the Portuguese, Dutch, and the British.

We ourselves have a Thero instigated anti Muslim history and entertained a rabid anti Rohinga Burmese Buddhist monk. We have our own citizens residing in camps in India not returning. What makes us suitable to provide help ? The USD 400 million we borrowed from Bangladesh with no intention of returning and also seeking more ?

probably Bangladesh has asked for our help since they came to our assistance when Rangoja request funds from Bangladesh. But the sad position is that we are still not able to pay back the loan and the due time for payment was extended twice and the second dead line too also has passed. What Ali Sabri can do with the Myanmar government is left to be seen as the military government of Myanmar dont care any intentional intervention in the affairs of their country..

Our Central Bank government can't pay back loan to Bangladesh, which in turn now having to go to IMF. Ali Sabry talk about Sri Lankan wanting to invest there is totally lies. All lip service to avoid talking about the fact we put Bangladesh in a worse financial position!

In my travels I met a Chakma a Buddhist minority in Bangladesh who said that his brother was killed by Muslim Bengalis. Recently I believe even a well respected monk was killed and also it was reported that there were 3000 recorded incidents of attacks on Hindu, Christian and Buddhist minorities in Bangladesh last year we all are primitive people attacking each other in our lands and the enlightened and those who can flee to European countries with European systems where these type of attacks are very few to live a safe live. Maybe this is why in the long term Bangladesh, Pakistan and Lanka will descend into karmic retribution poverty, suffering and destitution

Charity begins at home. Mayanmar Buddhist raped, killed and molested the Muslims and drove them away to Bangladesh.Sri Lankan Buddhist did the same to the Tamils and drove them to South India and to other parts of the world. These are facts cannot be erased.

Rohiya community too should live with dignity, Sri Lanka had similar senerio; hence Sri Lanka should come forward to help the Rohiya community to be resettled in Myanmar, with dignity, all are humans.
