Puttalam District All Ceylon Makkal Congress MP Ali Sabri Raheem has been taken into custody by Customs along with a stock of gold at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).

It was reported that the MP who returned to Sri Lanka from abroad was detained by the customs officials at the BIA with 3.5 kilos of gold.

I would like to see law is applied to all Equally..these politicians have been jolly riding over our laws of land ..I think there is an immunity for President only according to this constitution...But the big question comes to mind how many Politicians have been misusing the law of the country...Many of them use their influence and power to get rid of punishment and fines and how long this can go on and apply law to all Equally ..there are many legal cases against many of them but no action has been taken ..Judges are scared of politicians and police too. We have one law for poor and another law for rich and politicians...Now we can see how and where this country goes ..May God protect people from the evil eyes of these political leaders and also corrupted judges
