There is no plan to impose a lockdown as of now despite several requests to do so, the Health authorities said.

Deputy Director General of Health Services Dr. Hemantha Herath told media that people should behave in such a manner that they were not inviting for another wave resulting a lockdown.

“Our strategy at present is to control this situation while the country is open. If we go for a lockdown this time, it would adversely affect not only daily income earners but also monthly income earners,” Dr Herath stressed.

“Hence, what should be done is to make sure that health guidelines are properly followed and booster dose is received as early as possible,” he added. (Sheain Fernandopulle)

Concerted effort should be made for a Lockdown of the Wickedness of this country and then we will see a sea change of the random variants occurring

FKECNA, fake corona? Tell that to the families of the 15,000 plus people in Sri Lanka who watched their loved ones die of your ‘fake corona’. Karma follows you and you will at some point have to eat your words, be assured of that. Your hatred of America blinds you to reality. What goes around, comes around.

Government should do something about the private hospital bills. people infected with the virus who enter hospitals specially when the patient gets very serious have to pay heavy bills there should have a special rate for Covid patients who are admitted to private hospitals because most often the government hospitals don’t accept covid patients for lack of accommodation and if do you are treated like garbage. Private hospitals are a money spinner better than the tourist sector. Government should think about it.
