MP Channa Jayasumana claims MR will be appointed PM again

MP Professor Channa Jayasumana claims that there is a plan to remove Dinesh Gunawardena from the post of Prime Minister and appoint Mahinda Rajapaksa to that post again.

He said a group of ruling party MPs had asked him his support for such a move.

"I have been informed by some of my ruling party MPs that there is a move to appoint Mahinda Rajapaksa to the PM post and they proposed us to support that," he said.

"The government should go home now as this is not the time to find answers for the prevailing issues by changing the post of Prime Minister," he said.

Prof. Jayasumana said they do not support this move.

"Mahinda Rajapaksa should now retire from politics and stay at home in peace. He should protect any reputation he has left," Jayasumana said.

Jayasumana was part of the Viyathmaga group that is now facing heavy criticism following the failures of former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)

And then,no confidence motion to be brought and Rw to be roved.This is power politics.Give a thought to the citizens of this country ,although the voting of the majority has brought us to this plight.Now I can see the new voting pattern that will drop us into a deeper abyss.We never seem to learn.

Whether we like it or not MR and his Clans are going to be in power due to the Disunity in the ranks and files of opposition and the Venasa groups. Mahinda Ralla (wave) is a force to recon with.
