The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has proposed ten steps "Hammer and Dance Theory" to control COVID-19 Outbreak in Sri Lanka. “All possible aggressive actions should be implemented immediately to control COVID-19,” it said.

10. Providing essential food to people is not a GMOA problem.

Why doesn't the GMOA just get on with treating patients instead of coming out with all these statistical theories which I am sure they don't understand?

point no. 10 Stop publishing / showing details of the affected. ie. the quarantined, the infected, the dead, the houses that are sealed etc.

As Srilankans we have enough reasons to be proud of our own medical resources. The model recommended by GMOA will have to be assessed by the high powered task force and implemented appropriately.

Attention to Task Force and GMOA! The givernment takes every possible mesure to avoid spreding the disease which is commendable. There is no argument for that and it should be the first step. For the second step, the government should pay its attention for the following issues othervise the present affort will be futile: - With the opening of the airport, people stranded in foreign countries may arrive in Sri Lanka as unexpected numbers, especially who are in the Middle East as undocumented or violaters of visa conditions( Kuwait). Already the Kuwait government has ordered them to leave. Therefore, effective mechanism to screen them or quarantine them is needed. More centres, more manpower, more resources. Gvt can't fullfil them in the short run. - Their welfare, flight arrangements, airport facilitation, transport, reintegration etc etc. - Maximum use of present administrative stucture such as GA, DS, GN, Samurdhi officer, DO, PHI, Midwife etc etc. (Presently not effectively used).

all fine, but these theoretical ideas are all made by people which stomach is full as they are supplied with everything. Here in the country side, specially in a high risk area with continuous curfew there is a food shortage. Online orders are not working, Keells and Cargills are letting us down. How long the curfew will work when people are driven to the roads and start to search for food because hunger. Only making theoretical plans are not enough.
