The Ministry of Finance said today that it will hand a report on the incident of pasting forged stickers on liquor bottles to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said that he received a report prepared by the Excise Commissioner General over the forging of the security sticker pasted on liquor bottles.
Accordingly, the State Minister said he has decided to conduct a police investigation in this regard.
The Excise Commissioner General has submitted a report after it was revealed that a large number of liquor bottles with forged security stickers have entered the market. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
