An office assistant attached to the Postal Department of the Ministry of External Affairs had been remanded after he confessed to stealing a parcel belonging to an individual by the name of Arunida P Wimalasiri of Anuradhapura who was been killed in an accident while working in Korea.

Two persons were arrested with one million US dollar note (American Bill note) in Jaffna by the Sri Lanka navy this morning, navy said. The navy said the arrest was made on information. Suspects were handed over to Jaffna Police for further investigations.
