Two teachers, student of Bandaranayake College arrested
Two teachers and one student of the Bandaranayake College, Gampaha had been arrested in connection with the unrest that took place in the school two weeks ago, Police sources said.They would be produced in the Gampaha Magistrate’s Court today, they said.
The student was alleged to have been responsible for the attack on media personnel as well as destruction of equipment belonging to journalists and the teachers were suspected of instigating the unrest, Police said.
The Principal of the school also alleged that teachers were responsible for instigating the violence.
The arrests have been made following investigations conducted by the Police after the incident at the school. (JG)
