Its time we told India and the world that SL doesnt need 13th ammendment. The country is too small and provincial councils have not done any good. What SL needs is laws that will ensure an independent judiciary, police and election commission.Strong Right to Information laws with proper safeguards. Abolition of the executive presidency. Supremacy of parliament. Anti cross over laws. All citizens to be treated equally and afforded the same equal opportunities. Merit based selection to govt jobs. Strong anti curruption laws and severe punishment to wrong doors. Everyone above 18 to compulsorily have tax files and file tax returns every year with all bank account and asset purchases linked to tax files. An updated education system in english medium with sinhalese and tamil as electives so that the future generation will be globally competitive. Religion to be each persons private domain with no influence on governance. Abolition of political parties based on religion, race or language.

Please do not go behind the Tamil Nadu politicians or any others. All our politicians in SL should forget about the past and start rebuilding a peaceful country without any reservations. We people of Sri Lanka irrespective of where we live or what language or religion we persue, should not re-open the wounds and try to live in harmony. For all our problems, 'if there is a will, there is a way.'

Need lot of common sense and political wisdom do we all have it. People I south are frighten of each other and people in the north I may say confused among themselves and with rest of the country. There need not be someone wise to advice the country inthe country or out the country. Picks not reliable as it will dictated by the leaders most likely in the wrong direction so itis wise foreign representative from UN should be part of the PSC
