Special traffic plan in Colombo

A special traffic plan would be implemented from today to ease the vehicle traffic situation from Polduwa Junction to Kinsey Road in Colombo, the Police said.

They said the traffic plan would implement from Polduwa Junction, Sri Jayawardanapura Road up to Rajagiriya, Horton Roundabout and towards Kinsey road.

This traffic plan will going to implement as an experiment from this morning and it will be in operation on week days.

Several Police officers have been deployed for the pilot run of the plan.

Police said that the special traffic arrangements were being implemented as an alternative and also as a measure to control the heavy traffic, which prevails in the morning and also in the evening in the area. (Chaturanga Pradeep)
