Solangaarachchi pleads anticipatory bail

Colombo Additional Magistrate issued a notice on the Colombo Crime Division (CCD) OIC to appear in court on January 7 to inquire on an allegation of an attempt by the respondent to arrest Kotikawatte-Mullariyawa Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Prassanna Solangaarachchi.


The petition of the Mr. Solangaarachchi prepared by Attorney Gowri Shangary Thavarasha was supported by Counsel Gunaratne Wanninayake, who appeared with Priyadharshani Illukpitiya and Ranjan Thilakaratne.



The petitioner claims that he has a lawful right to seek anticipatory bail. (T. Farook Thajudeen)
