Sajith, Thalatha in UNP nomination board

The UNP Leadership Council today announced the appointment of a 12-member nomination board comprising MPs Sajith Premadasa and Thalatha Athukorala in view of the upcoming provincial council elections.

The board comprises a majority of leadership council members including dissident UNP MP and former deputy leader Sajith Premadasa and Thalatha Athukorala earlier rejected calls to join the newly appointed Leadership Council.

The other members of the nomination board are Karu Jayasuriya, Lakshman Kiriella, Tissa Attanayake, John Amarathunga, Kabir Hashim, Ravi Karunanayake, Mangala Samaraweera, Ruwan Wijewardene, Renuka Herath and D.M Swaminathan. (Hafeel Farisz)
