The CID today informed the Colombo Magistrate Court that they have found Pornographic material from at least three computers that were taken into police custody from the Sri Lankamirror office.

They also informed that it was a violation of the Obscene Publication Act. The CID made this statement when the case on Sri Lankamirror was taken up at the Colombo Magistrate Court. The Magistrate also ordered the CID to release the computers that were taken from the Sri Lankamirror office once the inquiry is over. (Farook Thajudeen)

Nice find.....Pornographic materials can be found in 99.9 % of computers in sri lanka. Even all the service provider's servers (proxy/mail servers) contain these materials.

Why has it taken such a long time for the police to say this? Could not the phonographic material been plated by the police, after all the computers have been in their custody for so long.
However, it was first said that there was anti-government subversive material. No mention of it now.
