Nine-hour water cut in Colombo

A nine-hour water cut will be imposed between 9.00 p.m. today (11) and 6.00 a.m. tomorrow (12) in certain areas in Colombo due to maintenance work, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board announced today.

The water cut will affect residents living along Galle Road from Lilly Avenue in Wellawatta up to the bridge near the Savoy Cinema including all lanes and by-lanes in those areas.

The Water Board said it regretted the inconvenience caused to the residents and requested them to collect their requirement of water in advance. (DS)
