Met Dept. warns of adverse weather
The Meteorological Department said today there was the likelihood of thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rains in the East, North Central, Uva and Central Provinces in the next 24 hours.Meteorologist on duty Channa Rodrigo said the wind speed would also increase temporarily in the above provinces. He said there would be turbulence and cloud cover with heavy rains.
Meanwhile Meteorological Department has issued a countrywide warning because of the adverse weather.
