LPBOA might dismantle next year
The Lanka Private Bus Owners Association (LPBOA) today said it would dissolve the Association next year if the Transport Authorities failed to provide solutions to the issues faced by the private bus industry.
“We have been having discussions with the authorities since 2003 to find solutions to our plight. But we haven’t found any fruitful solution. Almost all the discussions were concluded without any profitable result. We can’t continue to work like this. Therefore we might stop functioning from next year. This year will probably be our last year,” LPBOA President Gemunu Wijeratne said. (LSP)
