Javelin pierces student’s eye

A seventeen year old student of Panamura Central College, Embilipitiya was critically injured when a javelin that was thrown during their school sports meet pierced his eye.

The victim is currently undergoing surgery at the National Hospital in Colombo. (News and pix by Lasantha Niroshan Perera)
