Four killed in two accidents
Four persons were killed and two were injured during two separate road accidents in Piliyandala and Pussallawa, the Police said.A 39-years-old man and his 31-year-old wife were killed when their motor-cycle skidded off the road at Polgahakottanuwa on the Piliyandala-Batakettara Road.
Police said the victims were resident of Madapatha.
Another accident in Pussallawa killed two persons and injured two more when a three-wheeler collided head on with a lorry at Kothmalgama on the Hampola-Kandy main road.
Police said the victims were aged 43 and 66 years and resident of Katukithula.
The injured were admitted to the Katukithula and Kotmale hospitals. The driver of the lorry had been arrested and he is to be produced before the Nawalapitiya Magistrate today.
