The Sri Lankan government and the Fefence forces would not allow the reemergence of the LTTE as the Tamil Diaspora wants, Jaffna Commander Major General Udaya Perera told the Canadian High Commissioner Shelley Whiting.

“Defence forces are on alert about several groups who are trying to destroy peace in the Northern Province, including Jaffna,” he said.

“The Sri Lankan army is willing provide the maximum support according to the requirements of government officials, civil community and the government forces,” Major General Perera told the Canadian High Commissioner.

The Canadian High Commissioner was on an inspection tour in the Jaffna District last week. (News and Pis by Romesh Madushanka)

This is very good!!!! we are a small nation we don't need divisions yes !!! all the forces @ police should remain all around the country North East is no exception... We need not remind our fellow citizens the sufferings the whole country underwent with the Terrorist attacks etc their may be differences "yes " but they could be settled amicably you need not have self autonomy to make dissections!!!! so lets live in unity join hands all raises get together in developing our beautiful country
