Bottles of Corex syrup have been stolen from a pharmacy in Anuradhapura last night. The sale of Corex syrup was banned due to the excessive consumption of the drug by some, allegedly with the intent of getting a “kick”.

Police suspect the theft to have been committed by certain parties addicted to the drug. Anuradhapura police are conducting investigations to arrest the suspects. (Athula Bandara)
