Charred body found in van
The charred body of a 40 year-old man was recovered from a van by the Police when they stopped it for speeding at Malambe, Aturugiriya this morning.
Two suspects have been taken into custody. Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was a relative of the suspects and that a family dispute had led to the killing.
The suspects who burnt the body to prevent identification were taking it to a secret location when the police checked the van. The suspects and the victim were from Wataraka, Galle.(Siri Mahabellana and Buddhika Kumarasiri)
