Bra among herbs – Range Bandara reveals in the House

UNP MP Palitha Range Bandara in Parliament yesterday virtually showed a brassiere that he claimed was inside a bag of herbal medicine that was offered to a Buddhist monk by a ruling party candidate who contested for the Uva PC election.

Mr. Bandara also showed a hand bill which had also been distributed by the said candidate.

He alleged that the candidate had purchased bags of herbal medicines and had printed the hand bills using the funds which were allocated by the government for construction work in the Uva Province.

Members of both sides burst out with laughter when Mr. Bandara showed them. It was learnt that some government members are planning to call for an investigation to determine as to how those were brought into the chamber. (Yohan Perera and Kelum Bandara)
