Earlier, Mr. Jayasuriya had also lodged a complaint with the Cinnamon Gardens police stating that he was followed by unidentified persons on two motorcycles while he was returning from Hulftsdorp on July 15.
The BASL president said the two motorcycles which had roamed around his residence in a suspicious manner had been spotted by several neighbours and a complaint in this regard was registered at the Thalangama police station.
Mr. Jayasuriya further said the motorcyclists had remained around his resident on July 15 and 17 and the neighbours who were on alert about the incident had brought the matter to his attention.
Meanwhile, commenting on the complaint he had made with the Cinnomon Gardens police, Mr. Jayasuriya said no person had been arrested so far over the incident though the suspects’ behaviour had been recorded on the CCTV cameras. (Lakmal Sooriyagoda)
