Young woman succumbs to injuries from Pettah textile store blaze

COLOMBO (Daily Mirror): A 21-year-old woman receiving treatment following the recent fire that engulfed a textile store in Pettah succumbed to her injuries yesterday.

The woman, a resident of Watagoda, died while undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the National Hospital in Colombo.

She was one of 20 individuals who sustained injuries during the fire, as they were trapped inside the building. 

They were admitted to the National Hospital for urgent medical care due to burn injuries and respiratory difficulties resulting from the fire inside a textile store on Second Cross Street in Pettah on October 27.
