Colombo, January 25 (Daily Mirror)- The Attorney General who earlier today instructed the CID to arrest Yoshitha Rajapaksa, the second son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, said there was sufficient evidence for Yoshitha to be named as a respondent in a land case valued at Rs. 34 million.

The case involves Daisy Forrest, alias ‘Daisy Achchi’, at Sirimal Pedesa in Ratmalana.

Yoshitha was arrested from the Southern Highway at the entrance of the Beliatta exit this morning by a CID team following the AG's orders.

He will be produced before court after a statement is recorded from him.

It was a joke and letting down our judiciary system last time the way he explained how he received this money from Dacey Achachi. That was using power of his corrupted father. We expect our authorities proper investigation and court hearing of the case and maximum punishment if proved the charges. This family has been bleeding too much to our hard earned money and they became so rich at a cost to us. Do not get soft on any of Rajapakses.

A person using "Black Money" to buy property must be made to show beyond reasonable doubt (if necessary laws must be made) that the money used in the purchase is money earned legally. Daisy Aachchi I guess wasn't even a tax payer and how she had wealth in her name is a mystery. All deeds in her name the notary must be questioned about who gave instructions to write the deed and how money was paid for the purchase
