People are urged to be vigilant of symptoms including fatigue, body pains, drowsiness and nausea which may be signs of dehydration and heat stroke due to the high temperatures experienced these days.
"Liquids such as fruit juice and coconut water which are natural sources of sodium and potassium must be consumed to avoid dehydration, leading to heat stroke," Consultant Paediatrician at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children. Dr. Deepal Perera said.
