Visiting Pakistan Defence Secretary holds talks with Sri Lankan counterpart



Colombo, July 02 (Daily Mirror) - Pakistan's Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Lieutenant General (Retd) Muhammad Ali, paid a courtesy call on Sri Lanka's Defence Secretary, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd), at the Ministry of Defence Headquarters in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte.

The meeting took place during Lieutenant General (Retd) Muhammad Ali's visit to Sri Lanka to participate in the 6th Pakistan-Sri Lanka Armed Forces Defence Dialogue.

During the discussions, the two defence officials reviewed a wide range of bilateral matters, including the ongoing defence dialogue, military cooperation, training opportunities, defence exchanges, and ways to further strengthen collaboration in areas of mutual strategic interest.

Also present at the meeting were Pakistan's Additional Secretary of Defence Rear Admiral Amir Mahmood, Pakistan's High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Major General (Retd) Dr. Nayyar Naseer, and Defence Advisor Colonel Muhammad Farooq.
