Veteran actor Sathischandra Edirisinghe passes away

Veteran actor Sathischandra Edirisinghe passed away this morning at the age of 84.

Sathischandra Edirisinghe, the brother of popular singer Sunil Edirisinghe, became a household name in Sri Lanka for the memorable roles he portrayed in cinema and television dramas.

He appeared in films such as Sadol Kandulu and Kristhu Charitjaya, and in teledramas including Palingu Menike, Tharadevi, Susima, Rathu Rosa, and Sudu Paraviyo during the 1980s.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
