Colombo, January 9 (Daily Mirror) -  All schools in the Uva Province will close at 11:45 a.m. today due to the risk of adverse weather conditions, Chief Secretary Anusha Gokula Fernando said.

According to a report from the National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) a total of 892 schools across the province will be affected by the early closure. Authorities have urged parents and guardians to make necessary arrangements for their children.

The announcement comes amid ongoing concerns over weather-related safety in the region, with local officials monitoring conditions closely.
