Practically is there any gain or wisdom to Iran or Sri Lanka from this debate ? It is utter waste of time. The fact is the Americans and Israelis with support from other Western countries are attacking a SINGLE THIRD WORLD COUNTRY day and night killing hundreds of men,women, and children. Is it morally right for all these countries to gang up against one country and kill it's people ? But no one debates this crucial fact. Even the UN is keeping quiet out of fear of Americans. It is better to be honest and admit that we are powerless to do anything than pretend that we are doing something about it by having a debate in the Sri Lankan parliament The advantage of being powerless is that it would mentally energize every one of us that we have to advance Economically ,Industrially and Militarily to escape from the domination of the Americans and the Europeans. We have wasted the last 70 years of independence in "playing cricket " , and "happily looking up to the West", this must go.

The debates with opposition is always a verbal barrage without any sense or meaning. What can you expect from men like Chamara Sampath and the rest too who always bring lies and dam lies to discredit the government.
