Two buses collide head-on; 1 killed, 23 injured
At least one passenger died and 23 others were hospitalised after two busses collided head-on-on at Ganethenna in Mawanella on the Colombo-Kandy main road this afternoon.
Police said a CTB bus travelling from Kandy towards Colombo had collided head-on with a private bus travelling from Negombo to Kandy.
The injured were admitted to the Mawanella Hospital and both drivers were also among the injured.
The deceased was identified as a resident of Meerigama.(Chaminda Jayalath)
