Truck runs into multiple vehicles in Kaleliya; Four hospitalised

At least four persons were hospitalised after a truck crashed into many vehicles at Kaleliya on the Pasyala-Mirigama road this evening.

Police said the truck rammed against 8 three-wheelers, a car and a motorcycle before crashing into a wall, reportedly due to brake failure of the truck.

The injured were admitted to the Mirigama Hospital.

The driver of the truck was arrested.

Police said heavy traffic was reported in the area following the accident.
