Thundershowers with severe lightning expected in several areas

Colombo, Feb. 3 (Daily Mirror) - Thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning are likely to occur at several places in the Sabaragamuwa Province and in the Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts, the Department of Meteorology said.

The Met Department warned that temporary localized strong winds may also occur during thundershowers.

The general public has been advised to take adequate precautions to minimize possible damage caused by lightning activity.
