Colombo, April 16 (Daily Mirror) - The official vehicle of Primary Industries State Minister Chamara Sampath Dassanayake caught fire this morning in the Halpe area, as reported by the Ella police.
They said the vehicle caught fire due to a technical failure.
The incident occurred at around 1 a.m. this morning while the State Minister was travelling from Mahiyangana to Ella.
Neither the state minister nor the driver sustained any injuries.
The Fire Department of the Bandarawela Municipal Council, along with the Ella Police and local residents extinguished the fire.
