Yes, they truly and thoroughly deserve to be remembered and honored. Especially, Iran's former head of state Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Such an impeccable leader who lived a simple life during his tenure and after. Used public transport, offered his seat to women travellers and continued his profession as a teacher/lecturer. Hats off to that great gentleman.

My God, read the room! Condolences for a murderous regime that heinously killed sixty thousand of its citizens in a matter of days because they protested. You didn't have the guts to express your dismay for the humanitarian injustices that was taking place while the world was outraged. That's because it is no different to what the JVP did back in the day. Today most Iranians around the world are celebrating after decades since justice was served with the elimination of the draconian leadership. Are you that dense to not understand how your condolences for the wrong people in this highly volatile time can backfire on the entire country??

This is ridiculous. While the whole world has been condemning Iran's terrorist activities, this SL government sends condolences. Don't try to play around. Your begging bowl to IMF and other US aids won't last long if you behave like this. First try to understand your position and pecking order in the world affairs. SL views are nothing and a non event to most countries in the world.

Did we issue condolence message for the 40,000 plus civilians in Iran that were killed for protesting against the economic crisis by the very same people that are now killed? In fact the ordinary people of Iran are celebrating their death. Are we as a nation with the people of Iran or with those killed
