Colombo, May 19 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lanka has officially secured a Guinness World Record for the world’s longest sensory board at Merak 2026.
The 60-meter installation, led by The Tree House International and Merak, was created using tactile design elements including recycled ocean plastic, repurposed materials, zips, sequins, and various fidget components.
The initiative was designed as a collaborative movement to promote autism awareness, inclusion, sustainability, and empathy. It brought together partners from Sri Lanka and the Maldives, including artists, schools, universities, sponsors, and organizations such as Rainbow Kids, in a joint effort to support greater understanding of neurodiversity.
