Sri Lanka records 5.4% positive growth rate in 3rd quarter of 2025

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rate for the third quarter of year 2025 has been reported as 5.4 percent of the positive growth rate, the Department of Census and Statistics (DCS) of Sri Lanka said.

It said in a statement that in the third quarter of 2025, Agricultural, Industrial and Services activities all reported increases of 3.6 percent, 8.1 percent and 3.5 percent respectively. 

"The GDP for the third quarter of 2025 at constant price (2015) has increased up to Rs. 3,325,611 million from Rs. 3,154,148 million which was reported in the third quarter of 2024," the statement added.
