Galle, Jan 05 (Daily Mirror) - In a coordinated effort, the Sri Lanka Navy and Police Narcotics Bureau arrested six suspects along with a local fishing trawler loaded with a substantial amount of narcotics on the Southern seas.
The raid, conducted on the high seas south of Sri Lanka, resulted in the successful interception of the trawler transporting the illicit cargo.
Following the apprehension, the trawler was escorted to Galle Harbour this morning for further proceedings.
Ongoing investigations into the incident are being conducted by both the Sri Lanka Navy and the Police Narcotics Bureau.
