Several trapped after tree falls on three-wheeler in Mawanella

Colombo, Nov. 23 (Daily Mirror) Several people were trapped after a tree fell onto a three-wheeler at Thalagolla along the Mawanella–Rambukkana main road a short while ago, Additional District Secretary (Kegalle) Dilith Nishantha said.

He said two people have been rescued and hospitalised, while the three-wheeler driver remains completely trapped. 

Rescue teams are also working to free a woman whose leg is trapped.

The Mawanella–Rambukkana main road has been closed until further notice, he added.
