Several trains cancelled today

Several trains, including the Colombo Fort to Kankesanturai intercity express were cancelled this morning following the Station Masters' decision  to withdraw from services.

The Colombo Fort to Kankesanturai train was scheduled to leave 11.50 am from the Fort station.

Several trade unions have gathered at the railway headquarters at Fort to stage a protest. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
