Popular Sri Lankan YouTuber Sepal Amarasinghe was today ordered to be further remanded till February 21 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Prasanna Alwis.

Popular Sri Lankan YouTuber Sepal Amarasinghe who is in remand custody for allegedly making disrespectful comments about the Temple of the Tooth Relic has announced through his lawyer Attorney-at-law Darshana Kuruppu that he is ready to deliver a public apology to the Buddhist community living all over the world. In this day and age we should have the freedom to question and verify our belief systems, be it religious or atheistic, logic or superstition. But it should be done in a diplomatic manner without the use of derogatory and insulting language; avoid causing hurt to others. Should one be imprisoned for criticising the Dhammika Peniya? Maybe Richard Dawkins or even Charles Darwin may not have survived in Sri Lanka.
