Security has been tightened in several areas in Colombo following an unspecified intelligence information, sources said.
Accordingly, Police officers have been deployed to the areas such as Colombo Fort, Galle Road, Colpetty, Independence Square and Thunmulla Junction.
Meanwhile, according to Army sources, military personnel are on standby in case of an emergency.
