The middle section of the bridge near Ayurveda in Yakkala on the Colombo-Kandy main road is sinking, Deputy Minister Mahinda Jayasinghe said.

Accordingly, authorities have temporarily closed the road between Yakkala and Thihariya. 

Motorists are advised to use alternative roads.
