School uniforms will be distributed by March 15: Minister

Education Minister, Susil Premajayantha, said that necessary steps are being taken to achieve the goal of distributing uniforms to the students by March 15.

Addressing a meeting at the Ministry, he said that the Chinese government had agreed to provide 70% of the required uniforms.

The first batch of school uniforms has already been sent by the Chinese government.

The remaining 30% provided by local private businessmen is now being completed, the minister said. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
