Parliament, Dec. 7 (Daily Mirror)- Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) will operate flights between Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka shortly, Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Sabry said today.
Speaking during the Committee Stage debate on the Ministry of Foreign Affiars, the Minister said the Saudi Arabian Economic Affairs Minister during a meeting gave an assurance that steps would be taken to operate the flights soon.
He said the Ministry was able to bring airlines that had not operated their flights to Sri Lanka after successful discussions with various countries.
"We were able to operate flights of Air China, Malindo Airways, Thai AirAsia, Vistara, Air Astana, SpiceJet, Air Seychelles and Air Arabia to Sri Lanka," he said.
