Sajith wants probe into Denmark job racket using Prime Minister’s name

Parliament, Nov. 28 (Daily Mirror)- Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardane today refuted his or any of his institutes' involvement in an alleged job racket to Denmark, into which the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has launched an investigation.

The Prime Minister said this in Parliament while responding to a question raised by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa that an alleged racket is being operated by collecting Rs. 600,000 each from youths promising them employment in Denmark by a certain individual introducing himself as a coordinating secretary to the Prime Minister.

The Opposition Leader urged the Prime Minister to conduct an investigation into this incident.

The Prime Minister said he or his institutions had no involvement into such an incident and said the CID has launched an investigation into it.
