Sajith Premadasa congratulates Communist Party of China on 105th anniversary

Colombo, July 02 (Daily Mirror) - In a special message marking the 105th anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa extended his warm congratulations, commending the Party’s remarkable transformation and its contribution to China’s emergence as a global economic and technological powerhouse.

Premadasa praised the CPC’s commitment to economic reform, modernization, innovation, and inclusive growth, noting that its development model has enabled China to achieve shared prosperity while promoting social equity and fairness. He said Sri Lanka has valuable lessons to learn from China’s development experience, particularly its reform and opening-up policies and steadfast commitment to implementation.

He also emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence and cooperation in Asia, expressing hope for the continued strong relationship between China and India as key drivers of regional and global progress.

Highlighting similarities between the CPC’s modern economic approach and the principles of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, Premadasa reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening party-to-party cooperation and further enhancing the longstanding friendship between Sri Lanka and China.
