SLTB, private bus services till end of festivities



After the completion of the New Year rituals, special bus services have been put into operation from today for the convenience of people returning to Colombo from their home towns, the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) and the National Transport Commission (NTC) said.

SLTB deputy general manager Panduka Swarnahansa said special bus services will be operational from today till Tuesday (April 18).

All provincial deport managers have been advised to provide additional buses if necessary considering the requirements of the passengers, Swarnahansa said.

Meanwhile, NTC Director General Nilan Miranda said private buses, including special bus services, have been assigned for the convenience of passengers to and from Colombo.

Accordingly, all SLTB and private bus services operate from the Colombo Central Bus Stand and the Bastian Mawatha Bus Station. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
